Glenelg is 600 miles by road from London, tucked away on the north west coast of Scotland. Despite the isolation Scotland is well served by direct air flights to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Internal flights from Gatwick and Luton land at Inverness which is only 70 miles from Glenelg (on a good road through beautiful highlands countryside). There are regular train services to Kyle of Lochalsh from Inverness and the south.

Road access to Glenelg and Bernera is over the Ratagan Pass, a minor (but well maintained) road off the main A87 to Kyle of Lochalsh.
